The legs comprise a huge amount of muscles. The quadriceps femoris is made up of four main muscles and the glutes aka your butt and hamstrings are made of 3 muscles each. The adductors have five main muscles and the calves are comprised of two main muscles.

The quads and hamstrings are an agonist-antagonist muscle group as the quads extend the knee whereas the hammy's flex the knee. The glutes are a powerful group of muscles that externally rotate and extend the hip and also supports the trunk.
